Terms of service

These terms apply to every order placed with Paw Memory House, a trading name of Memory House Labs Limited, Unit 203, 10 Aylesbury Street, Pakuranga, Auckland 2010, New Zealand.

The preview

The preview is free. Nothing is charged, and nothing is printed, until you place an order. The piece we make is the painting you approved.

Your photograph

By uploading a photograph you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it. If people are shown in it, you confirm you have their permission to have them painted. You give Memory House Labs Limited permission to use it to make your portrait and to keep it with your order so the piece can be reprinted. We do not use it for anything else, and no one else sees it except the service providers that process it for us to make and deliver your portrait, as listed in our privacy policy. We only ever show a finished portrait as an example on this site with the customer's written permission.

How the portraits are made

Portraits are composed from your photograph by our painting studio in the manner of an oil painting, and printed on canvas or the material you choose. They are not hand-painted with brushes.

Prices and taxes

Prices are shown and charged in your local currency where available, and in US dollars elsewhere. Standard shipping is included.

Problems with an order

Our refund policy sets out what we do if a piece arrives damaged or not as previewed, and the lifetime cover on every piece.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of New Zealand. Consumer guarantees under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Australian Consumer Law apply where relevant and are not limited by these terms.
